Henry R Andres, 359th F Company

Henry was the oldest of three brother, living in Greenpoint Brooklyn NY. Henry never married, was an avid reader and had a great sense of humor. He enter the Army in March 1942 and was a member of the 359th, Company F. He was KIA in Dilligen Germany just days before his 28th birthday. He was awarded the Bronze Star, and Purple Heart (posthumously) and is interred in the American Battle Monument Cemetery in Luxembourg.

Thanks to his nephew and namesake, Henry Andres for this memorial to his uncle. Unfortunately, the pictures are scans of scans and do not do Henry the honor he earned.
