The photo was taken in Lovington in June, 1964, the first time that they had seen each other since the Seves fiasco and mass surrender on July 23, 1944. Scharbauer was a POW for nine months, but made it back to the states before Clyde, who had been re-assigned to the Air Corps after his second wounding in Nov.'44, and didn't get home till August.
