Important Time Sensitive Notice !!!!!

SAVE THE T/O COLORS AND INSIGNIA !

The recent recommendations by the BRAC (Base Reassignment and Closing) Committee has recommended that the 90th RRC is to be eliminated.

This request by them was sent to Congress Sept 15 and will become law on Oct30.

The following letter has been written by the 90th Division Association to try and modify that action.

Dear Senator/Congressman_________________:

Included in the pending BRAC Commission Report is the recommended elimination of the 90th U.S. Army Regional Readiness Command that is currently headquartered at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  While the reorganization of Army Reserve Units is a fact of life, the complete elimination of the heritage of units that have been part of our army since World War I should not be allowed.

The 90th Infantry Division history [see attached summary] is extensive and illustrious.  Your support is urgently needed to cause the colors and heritage of the 90th Infantry Division [currently carried by the 90th U.S. Army Regional Readiness Command] to be passed on to the new organization[s] that are designated to replace the 90th U.S. Army Regional Readiness Command.  By doing this, the history, flags, and heritage of the 90th Division “Tough ‘Ombres” would be perpetuated without changing either the spirit or intent of the BRAC Commission Report.

Please insist that any legislation and/or actions implementing the recommendations of the BRAC Commission include the requirement that the colors and heritage of the 90th Division be passed along to the new headquarters that replaces the 90th U.S. Army Regional Readiness Command.

Sincerely,

The Association would welcome and appreciate all contributions to help defray the cost of this concerted effort to save our heritage, colors and TO Insignia.
